I recently attended Parana state's Jiu Jitsu tournament. If any of you read my previous post you'll no doubt be able to quickly and accurately surmise that I was not competing.
I went instead as a spectator and in the hopes of trying to get a few photos. The tournament was quite similar to ones I have attended in the UK, aside from it was injected with that enthusiasm and energy that are part and parcel of Brazilian fandom. In addition it seemed to differ from other competitions that I have been to in that not many of the bouts were won on points, but by submission.
I often notice that most people aren't terribly interested in pictures of Jiu Jitsu as they tend not be quite certain what they are looking at, however I thought this would be a good forum in which to post them.
