UFC Light Heavyweight champion Jon Jones utterly dominated challenger Vitor Belfort last night at UFC 152 in Toronto, Ontario, but he came away with a hurt wing after Belfort caught him in an arm bar in the first round. Jones didn't tap but the arm visibly hyper-extended and after the fight, Jones worried out loud that the arm was injured.
At the end of the bout, Jones could barely put his shirt on for the announcement of his fourth round submission victory over Belfort.
Then at the post-fight press conference, Jones appeared with his the arm in a sling."We haven't been able to get it X-rayed, but they think there might be some nerve damage in the bicep, but I don't know," Jones said.
In his post-fight interview, challenger Vitor Belfort claimed to have heard Jones' arm "cracking and popping" from the arm bar. Jones said he expected the arm to break at one point but was not going to tap.
Jones will not be able to get his arm checked out by doctors until he returns to his upstate New York home after attending today's Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots game in Maryland to see his brothers Arthur and Chandler face off.
