It was pretty obvious that Vinny Magalhaes wanted to submit Igor Pokrajac in their UFC 152 light heavyweight bout. He ended up doing just that, and it was a work of art. After almost getting an armbar in the first round, Magalhaes ended up on the bottom early in the second and immediately locked up a triangle, then an armbar. After securing it, he flipped Pokrajac over and cranked on the arm, and Pokrajac tapped immediately at the 1:14 mark of the round.

Magalhaes clinched up early and looked for the takedown, and eventually got it after a minute of trying. Magalhaes landed a couple of nice rights in Igor's guard. Pokrajac used wrist control to keep Vinny at bay. Vinny used some punches to move to side control halfway through the round. He turned over for an armbar, but Pokrajac survived and ended up on top. Vinny looked for something in rubber guard, but Pokrajac just backed out and got up. Pokrajac landed a punch and clinched. Pokrajac landed a solid shot that stunned Vinny late, but he ran out of time in the round.

Vinny landed a kick early in the second stanza and clinched up. He got it to the ground on the bottom, and locked up a triangle. He then switched it to an armbar and flipped Pokrajac over to get the tap with beautiful precision.
