We told you yesterday that FUEL TV continues to improve in the ratings category, posting a new monthly record with their July numbers. Well it looks like their good momentum has continued to kick off August, as their three-hour preliminary card special for UFC on FOX 4 was their highest rated to date. (Via MMA Weekly)
The live UFC on Fox 4 preliminary bouts on Fuel TV drew and average audience of 194,000 viewers, according to MMAWeekly.com’s industry sources.
The next closest was 165,000 viewers for the TUF Live Finale in June.
The audience has been steadily growing in recent months for FUEL, and 194,000 for a prelims show is actually higher than their UFC on FUEL 3 card back in May. For as much as the FOX main card was disparaged for a Brandon Vera-led main event, the preliminary card was stacked with many notable WEC and TUF fighters such as Manny Gamburyan, Cole Miller, Nam Phan, Josh Grispi, and Rani Yahya. Additionally, #6 ranked light-heavyweight Phil Davis fought against Wagner Prado and was easily the biggest name of the prelims.
Remaining live cards on FUEL TV for 2012 are as follows: UFC on FUEL 5 (9/29), UFC on FX 5 prelims (10/5), UFC on FUEL 6 (11/10), UFC on FX 6 prelims (date TBD), TUF 16 Finale prelims (date TBD), and UFC on FOX 5 prelims (12/8).
