It's late and I need to crash, and I'd like my first post to be more eloquent but it's about time someone made this clear because I'm sick of seeing it:

Posting assault gifs is a bunch of bullshit. Mixed martial arts is a SPORT. Mixed martial arts is not about someone getting their ass kicked. Mixed martial arts takes place in a CAGE. Mixed martial arts does not take place in the street. Mixed martial arts, in the form that's worth being a fanatical fan of, is based on INTEGRITY. Mixed martial arts is not about violating someone.

People post gifs of people getting assaulted, and I'm supposed to apply this to my favorite sport? These athletes train in a sport that is supposed to be based on respect. Combat, with honor, is based on respect. People getting beaten up in public has NOTHING to do with this sport. If you think it does, to borrow a phrase from our old buddy Psychblack: Slap yo' self...just don't record the footage and post it as a gif.
