Strikeforce has finally filled out their September 29th card, just a few weeks before the event is set to take place. The promotion has added three fights to the Strikeforce: Melendez vs. Healy card in recent days, all of which will take place on the preliminary card in Sacramento. The bouts will all air on Showtime Extreme.
The name that fans will likely know best out of the six fighters is Jorge Gurgel (14-8), who will be taking on Mizuto Hirota (14-5-1). Gurgel is coming off a decision loss to Joe Duarte last August. He's 2-3 overall in SF since coming over from the UFC. Hirota dropped a close decision to Pat Healy in his last bout. Many people thought Hirota won the bout.
Also added to the card was a women's 135-pound bout between Cat Zingano (6-0) and Amanda Nunes (7-2), and a welterweight bout between prospects Yuri Villefort (6-1) and Nah-Shon Burrell (8-2).
