Fight announcements have been coming in at a crazy pace lately, and today we get yet another interesting matchup. The UFC's Canadian twitter account today announced a featherweight bout to take place at UFC 154 between Antonio Carvalho and Rodrigo Damm.
Here's the tweet (which also announces another fight):
2 more fights to confirm for CDN cards: Walel Watson vs Mitch Gagnon for UFC 152 in TO + Rodrigo Damm vs Antonio Carvalho for UFC 154 in MTL

.
Carvalho (14-5, 1-1 UFC) is a Canadian featherweight with a very exciting style to watch. He started his career by rattling off eight straight wins, all but one having not seen the judges' scorecards. He met his first defeat in his fight with Jeff Curran, a former UFC and WEC fighter. In his career prior to his UFC debut, his only big win was against Hatsu Hioki, in a fight he won by split decision in Shooto. He debuted in the UFC at UFC 142, fighting Felipe Arantes in front of a Brazilian audience. He put up a decent fight, but lost the decision unanimously. In his most recent outing he looked much more fluid, as he systematically beat up Daniel Pineda en route to an eventual first round knockout. He will be looking for his second impressive outing in a row in this bout with Damm
Rodrigo Damm (10-5, 1-0 UFC) has had a career spanning some notable promotions. He had fought in Sengoku with a 1-2 record, and in Strikeforce with a record of 0-2. With such weak results when under the spotlights, a UFC appearance seemed unlikely for the Brazilian. Despite long odds, he found his way into the UFC through The Ultimate Fighter Brazil. He was Vitor Belfort's fourth pick and the eighth pick overall. He had his UFC debut at UFC 147, winning submission of the night honors in a win over his TUF rival, Anistavio "Gasparinzho" Medeiros. Damm still has much to prove and he will look to do that with a win over Antonio Carvalho.
UFC 154 will take place on November 17 in the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. It is expected to be headlined by a welterweight title bout as Georges St. Pierre returns after a knee injury to fight the interim champion, Carlos Condit.
