Chael Sonnen: 'Jon Jones Is A Delusional Brat'

We all know Chael Sonnen is a master of the mic. His ability to work a crowd is unmatched in MMA, and it's not surprising that he had a bunch of inflammatory things to say in an interview with Jonathan Snowden of Bleacher Report today. Sonnen expected to be taking on Jon Jones in the main event of UFC 151, but Jones turned down the fight. And now Sonnen is saying he's the rightful light heavyweight champion:

"When I decided to go after the light heavyweight championship, I knew that I'd win it like I always do," Sonnen told Bleacher Report in an exclusive interview. "I just didn't know it would be by forfeit. But I do stand before you today the light heavyweight champion."

He also claims that he'll meet Jones one day, but his buddy Hendo is what's on his mind right now:

"I'm in the same position today as I was yesterday," Sonnen said. "The fight's going to happen sooner or later. It's not like I'm not going to beat this guy up. It's just a matter of when. My biggest concern isn't with the fight or myself at all. My biggest concern is with Dan Henderson and his health. I have a personal relationship with him. I know his kids and how much he loves playing with them, so I just hate to see the guy's health in any kind of jeopardy."

Let's get one thing straight - Sonnen is very good at slipping in and out of character. A large portion of the interview appears to be Chael the sportsman, where he discusses how highly he thinks of Greg Jackson and talks about his Team Quest background. He even analyzes his own bully act and the reasoning behind it. But in the end, he drifted back into character and concluded with some amusing zingers about the light heavyweight champ:

"Jon Jones is a delusional brat," Sonnen said. "He talks of being a businessman?! What?! What risks did he take? What capital did he raise? Where exactly is his office located? How many people does me employ? Hey JJ, put me on the phone with your secretary... Oh wait, what?"

I suggest you check out the whole interview to earn a better understanding of The Two Faces Of Chael.
