Right now rumors are rampant about Dan Henderson being pulled from the Main Event of UFC 151. The UFC is in a tough situation right now since the event isn't 10 days away so finding someone is going to be tough. This card is also top heavy and if they completely scratch the fight then all the people coming into Vegas to watch Jon Jones(win or lose) will revolt if their main event turns into Jake Ellenberger vs. Jay Hieron II. I think this can be salvaged with a few key fighters. Here is who I picked based on interest and I picked guys who would be able to make the fight

Stefan Struve:

Some people discredit Jon Jones' dominance at LHW and say it's only a factor of his reach. This fight will put the theory of "Is He Just Reach?" to the rest. Struve is tied for Jon Jones with an 84.5-inch reach and he's much taller. He's a dangerous fighter, but he isn't dangerous enough to where the UFC risks a huge chance of ruining the Jon. If Jon wins then it would put him over even more. From a money standpoint I think this fight would do more buys than the Hendo fight. Struve is also in a fight camp now since he has a fight on September 29th.

Lyoto Machida

Lyoto would be perfect if he's going to take the fight on short notice. He "earned" a title shot and he's already under the weight limit so him gassing after a fast cut wouldn't be much of an issue. He has also fought recently so he's probably not TOO out of shape. He'd just need to get his cardio back a bit. It would also help since there is lots of talk about this fight anyway with Jon's recent comments.

Chael Sonnen at HW

Chael hasn't earned a title shot and he probably would have a hell of a time making 205 in a little over a week(Chael supposedly walks around close to 230). The trash talk over the few days would sell this fight and it would be just a good old fashioned fight. There would be the Bellator Super Fight danger of Chael beating Jon, but that would just fuel a rematch for the title. The only problem is I'm not sure how in shape Sonnen is right now since his fight with Anderson was about a month ago now.

What do you think and who would you like to see? I skipped over some guys like Gus because I think the cut would be too hard for them on this short a notice. The last thing I want to see is Gus looking awesome and then tiring in 3 minutes because of a big weight cut and losing because he gassed in a short notice title fight. I also recognize that this fan post could be rendered pointless at any time. :p
