Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman - Live Results And Play-By-Play For Main Card

Our live coverage will start with the prelim fights on Showtime Extreme (8 p.m. ET) and continuing through the main card on Showtime (10:07 p.m. ET) so make sure to make Bloody Elbow your home for this event.

This post will cover live results and thoughts for the main card on Showtime.

The evening's main event sees women's MMA superstar Ronda Rousey taking on top challenger Sarah Kaufman. Ronaldo Souza steps back into the cage in the co-main event against Derek Brunson. Welterweights Tarec Saffiedine and Roger Bowling will clash. Rounding out the card is a bout between Lumumba Sayers and Anthony Smith as well as Ovince St. Preux against T.J. Cook.

Ovince St. Preux vs. T.J. Cook - Round 1 - OSP with a head kick that gets blocked. Cook with a big punch that just misses. Big right by Cook does get in a little, as does a leg kick. OSP with a good kick of his own now and Cook gets inside so OSP turns him into the cage. OSP flurries hard and Cook drops. The ref lets them fight on despite OSP flurrying. Cook back to his feet and Cook is landing hard shots! He's coming back hard with another series of shots. OSP with a head kick and some more good punches. Head kick by OSP and now Cook flurries again. OSP with a takedown now. OSP with a few short elbows now. Cook gives up the back but he manages to get to his eet. Hard jab by OSP. 10-9 OSP.

Round 2 - Body kick by OSP. Head kick by OSP again. Low blow by OSP and they take a break for Cook to recover. OSP shoots in with a big double leg now. OSP gets to full mount and Cook is forced to give up his back. Cook manages to get to the end of the round. 10-9 OSP in a much slower round.

Round 3 - The round starts and OSP lands a huge left hand and the fight is over. Wow, that was a huge shot. Ovince St. Preux wins by KO (punch), round 3.

Lumumba Sayers vs. Anthony Smith - Round 1 - Sayers went for a takedown and in the ensuing scramble Smith ended up on top in full mount. Smith looks sort of unsure what to do from the mount. A wild scramble now and Sayers takes the back standing before Smith tries to use a kimura. Hard left by Smith and Sayers had to take a step back. Leg kick by Sayers. Sayers ends up with a takedown and Smith locks in a triangle and there's the tap. What a weird fight. Anthony Smith wins by submission (triangle choke), round 1.

Tarec Saffiedine vs. Roger Bowling - Round 1 - Saffiedine trying to walk forward, Bowling circling outside. Nice body shot by Bowling, and another. Leg kick by Saffiedine. Leg kick by Bowling now. Good knee in the clinch by Saffiedine hit to the chest. Good double left hand combo by Bowling. Bowling with a few good punches, but he eats some knees to the body in the process. Bowling keeps trying for takedowns but can't get anywhere with them and Saffiedine is calmly working knees and short strikes on the inside. Leg kick by Saffiedine and the round ends. 10-9 Saffiedine.

Round 2 - Eye poke by Saffiedine. They're back at it again, trading some kicks to the body and legs. They trade right hands and both were heavy punches. Saffiedine with a great left hand to the face and a leg kick. Bowling with a takedown but Saffiedine gets right back to his feet, avoiding a choke in the process. Saffiedine with a right hand in the clinch. Right hand by Bowling and now a left hand but Saffiedine with an uppercut in return. Right hand by Saffiedine. 10-9 Saffiedine.

Round 3 - Both men throwing strikes early but Saffiedine is measuring his shots a bit more. Leg kick by Saffiedine. Another leg kick. And another heavy leg kick. Bowling looking for a takedown again and can't get it again. Bowling working hard for the takedown again and again Saffiedine defends. Saffiedine sprawls out of another takedown and ends up taking Bowling's back. 10-9 Saffiedine.

Official Scorecards: 30-27 across the board. Tarec Saffiedine wins by unanimous decision.

Jacare Souza vs. Derek Brunson - Round 1 - Huge right by Jacare drops Brunson. Brunson up and he gets dropped again and that'll do it. Jacare Souza wins by TKO (punches), round 1.

Ronda Rousey vs. Sarah Kaufman - Round 1 - Rousey coming forward throwing and she gets inside and gets a takedown and has mount. Rousey looking for the armbar already. Kaufman defending well so far but Rousey staying on the arm and there's the tap. Good lord, she is incredible. Ronda Rousey wins by submission (armbar), round 1.
