Michael Kuiper defeated Jared Hamman by TKO (strikes) at 2:16 of round two
Jared Hamman showed that he has more heart than most men, but it wasn't enough to overcome an injured leg. Michael Kuiper landed a solid leg kick in the first round that left Hamman with an apparent torn muscle, but he persevered and still came out for the second round. It was a mismatch after that though, with Kuiper beating the tar out of him on the feet and finally getting the stoppage halfway through the round.
Hamman got off to a good start, landing some solid leg and body kicks and evading Kuiper's attacks. Kuiper used a bodylock and threw Hamman to the mat. Hamman popped right back up though. Kuiper landed the big leg kick that wobbled Hamman, and Kuiper unloaded with a ton of shots. Hamman's chin held him in the fight, but he went down twice. Kuiper landed huge rights that Hamman just took. He was wobbly, but still in the fight.
Hamman opted to continue despite the injury, and Kuiper looked to attack the leg with kicks immediately. Kuiper caught him with a left hook that dropped him but Hamman gutted it out again and got back up. Finally Kuiper landed a monster right that collapsed Hamman to the mat and the ref stepped in.
