The feature fight on the UFC 150 preliminary card is a featherweight showdown between Ultimate Fighter runner-up Dennis Bermudez (8-3 MMA, 1-1 UFC) and Tommy Hayden (8-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC). Bermudez recorded his first UFC win last May while Hayden suffered his first career loss in January. Neither man is ranked in the SB Nation MMA Consensus Rankings.

Bermudez is known for his powerful wrestling abilities and is looking to make it two wins on the trot. Hayden is a moderate underdog in this one but he has finished fights both standing and on the ground. It's also Hayden's featherweight debut after spending his entire career at 155 lbs. The FX portion of the prelims airs live at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT before the PPV broadcast commences at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT.

How do these two stack up?

Bermudez: 25 years old | 5'6" | 66" reach
Hayden: 26 years old | 5'9" | 72" reach

What have these two done recently?

Bermudez: W - Pablo Garza (UD) | L - Diego Brandao (SUB) | L - Jordan Rinaldi (SUB)
Hayden: L - Fabricio Camoes (SUB) | W - Harry Johnson (SUB) | W - Mike Baskis (DQ)

How did these go get here?

Bermudez actually went into season 14 of The Ultimate Fighter on a two-fight losing streak, but managed to reach the final where he faced Diego Brandao. Unfortunately for him, Brandao recovered from a dramatic knockdown to win via armbar with seconds left in the 1st in one of the best rounds of 2011. Bermudez would stop his professional losing streak with powerful takedowns an impressive decision win over Pablo Garza earlier this May.

Hayden went 8-0 fighting almost exclusively in Indiana and Ohio, with his most notable W against Bermudez's TUF castmate Dustin Neace. His record looked impressive on the surface, but Neace is one of only two fighters with winning records on his resume. Questions about the quality of opposition he faced were soon answered when Fabricio Camoes dominated Hayden in his UFC debut and recorded a slick rear-naked choke. The Cincinnati native now makes his featherweight debut desperate to stay in the UFC with a win.

Why should you care?

There's no spinning this, Hayden doesn't look ready to fight in the UFC. Of course, he could prove me wrong, but this could be another chance for the entertaining Bermudez to showcase his talents.
