A thousand words will not leave so deep an impression as one deed.
-As he walked out for his fight for Silva, I thought "Cool, a karate guy". Then he knocks out Silva. Made me a fan for life.
side note: his speech after he beat Evans was legendary.
-As he fought Dan Henderson, I rooted hard for Henderson. I didn't know why but I instantly didn't like Silva. I didn't know much about either fighter at the time. I was happy to see Henderson get that take down in round 1 but then devastated to see him get chocked out in round 2.
side note: i became a huge Silva fan after watching him dismantle the competition. hard not to appreciate it.
-this guy is in shape, look at that body. He is just holding down this BJ guy and dominating the fight.
side note: i am no longer a gsp fan. i just think his risk adverse style is not fun to watch, but he is a draw regardless and i still buy his ppv.
-why is this guy quitting before round 5 vs GSP. He doesn't even look hurt, just tired. damn he sucks.
side note: of course i realize how wrong i am. BJ is a great, and I am a fan.
Chael P Sonnen
-as i watched him fight marquardt all i could think was "dammit marquardt, get off your back and win this fight" I really wanted to see him rematch SIlva at the time. I considered him the best contender at the time. This guy sonnen is just holding you down. He isn't even hurting you, you already cut him up and he is all bloodied.
This boring wrestler is going to win the fight. This sucks.
side note: he is still rather boring to watch.
Another Bad Predicition
-he is a huge silva/machida fanboy and lets his bias effect his reasoning
side note: he is still rather boring/unintelligible to read.
Clearly I had some wrong first impressions.
Any first impressions you would like to share about fighters?
