Jimy Hettes was supposed to be fighting two weeks ago, but was forced off the card by injury. Instead, he'll take a trip to Canada to fight Marcus Brimage at UFC 152 in Toronto on September 22nd. The bout was announced by UFC officials earlier today.
Hettes (10-0) had to deal with a contract dispute that delayed his UFC debut, but he's looked very impressive since he finally got there with wins over Alex Caceres and Nam Phan. He is routinely talked about as one of the brightest prospects in the division. He was expected to face off with Steven Siler at UFC on FX 4, but an injury forced him out and delayed his return to the octagon by three months.
Brimage (5-1) is a TUF 14 contestant than has surprised thus far in the UFC, picking up wins over Stephen Bass at the TUF 14 Finale and Maximo Blanco at UFC 145. He also went to a draw in a tumbling contest with Blanco after the fight.
The bout is expected to take place on the preliminary card.
