Another pair of strikers will be featured in the latest addition to the September 29th UFC on FUEL TV 5 card in Nottingham, England, this time in the light heavyweight division with Fabio Maldonado set to take on the debuting Jorgen Kruth, according to ESPN UK:
Former world Muay Thai champion Jorgen Kruth will make his UFC debut against Fabio Maldonado at UFC: Nottingham on September 29.
This one is shaping up to be a crowd pleaser, with the aging Kruth making his UFC debut on the heels of a long and storied kickboxing career, while Maldonado has quickly risen from obscurity to fan-favorite with his non-stop, Diaz brother-like boxing style. Kruth was initially scheduled to make his UFC debut in April in his native Sweden against Cyrille Diabiate, but an injury forced him out of the bout. Despite both of Maldonado's UFC losses being close decisions that many felt could have gone in his favor, it's still two losses in a row for the Brazilian, and it will be interesting to see if he decides to get Kruth to the ground and make use of his Nogueira brothers black belt in BJJ, with job security in mind.
