Aloha, assbloods. First off, last call for returning players to sign up for season 4. As of 3 PM EST tomorrow, returning sign-ups will close, and if you haven't marked an x in the corresponding cell of this spreadsheet to join, you will be excluded from the next season.

We're either going to set the roster cap at 120 or 132 depending on the amount of eligible people who want in. People who have consistently made picks (all of season 3's events) for the BECW Prospects camp on PG will get priority over new players since we've always stressed for interested newbies to join that camp; but other than that, it will be first-come, first-serve. However, in order to be eligible, you have to already be a member of MMA Playground and made predictions for a previous event, and also have over 500 comments at Bloody Elbow. If you haven't made picks in the past for PG but are still interested, email me or wonderfulspam and you may still be included.

Starting at 7 PM EST tonight, BE Prospects/new players can send an email with the personal address you use most frequently to the BECIVILWAR address at Google's e-mail service with BOTH your SBNation and MMA Playground names in the subject line. If you send it before that time, I'm just going to tell you to slap yoself most likely.

There is some responsibility with signing up for this though, if you think that for some reason in the next few months you may not have 20 minutes or so to check some Wikipedia pages and get your picks locked in before every event, you really really shouldn't sign-up. You can't be expected to be one of the top scoring players each week, but you are absolutely expected to at least try. You miss picks, you're a dickhead and a disappointment to your teammates. I don't care if your house burns down. You grab your laptop and I suppose your children and pets if you have another free arm, and you go to the library to make those god damned picks. Team discussions via email or whatever other forum are strongly encouraged, but not mandatory.

Also, we need two more people to step up and try to lead a team to glory as a captain. The only additional requirement is that you be available sometime between August 5th-9th for the draft, which we'll address in a later post. The following captains have signed up: Paulo's Shrink, Violent Newt, Horselover Fat, kreally, benten20, wonderfulspam, Tim Bernier, sklart, POW, lanky6; with DreamingOfFighting and OBP only wanting to do it if necessary.
