Our friendly Louisiana Melvinator has hit a slight bump in the road. After reeling off several highlight knockout wins in a row, Melvin was stunned and submitted by Joe Lauzon. He went on to headline a card and lose in the same fashion against Jersey's own Jim Miller. Now he fights again soon against Fabricio "Morango" Camoes this Saturday at UFC 148.

Morango is best known for going 27 minutes in a bare knuckle match against current UFC champ Anderson Silva, a feat that incredibly bad-ass no matter how you look at it. I once saw Camoes live against Kurt Pellegrino in a fight where reigned supreme.Five Ounces of Pain nailed a nice interview with Guillard, but some points zipped right out to me. He revisited the Lauzon fight in an interesting way.

"... I read in a magazine that he punched me in my face, dropped me and then choked me out. I tried to take the high road and be professional about it, but he chose to be disrespectful about it."

Your right Melvin, he totally disrespected you by detailing precisely how the entire 47 or some odd second fight went.

Guillard fought The Ultimate Fighter 2 winner Joe Stevenson in the main event of UFC Fight Night: Stevenson vs Guillard on April 5, 2007, and submitted to a guillotine choke in 27 seconds after being dropped by a jab. He publicly accused Stevenson of using Human Growth Hormone (HGH). Guillard's own pre-fight urine sample later tested positive for cocaine.
