Malki Kawa is perhaps the most wellknown MMA manager around. Occasionally he has been scrutinized, but he also gets big deals for fighters. Two days ago, he tweeted this about his client, Alan Belcher:
Love talking to joe silva about possible fights for my clients. @alanbelcherufc is gonna get a big fight soon!

This was tweeted just a day after UFC on Fuel TV 4, where Chris Weidman dominated #3 ranked middleweight, Mark Munoz, finishing him by second round knockout. A bout between Belcher and Weidman was speculated by some, and the timing of this tweet gives me the impression that it is very likely. I don't believe this is the right fight for either (if it actually is the fight Kawa is talking about), but it certainly is an interesting matchup of two young middleweights.
Belcher and his trainer, Duke Roufus, had recently taken to twitter to campaign for big fights earlier this month, namely Michael Bisping, but seeing as Bisping is set to fight Brian Stann at UFC 152, that leaves few other "big name" options. If a fight with Weidman is to materialize, it would be important to get it out to a wide audience, as the bout would clearly have title implications. Also, this fight would probably happen sooner than later, as neither fighter sustained much damage in their last fights.
