Strikeforce: Rockhold Vs. Kennedy Results: Roger Gracie Can't Finish Keith Jardine, Takes Decision

Roger Gracie defeated Keith Jardine by unanimous decision (29-27, 30-27, 30-26)

Roger Gracie's drop to 185 was successful, as he was able to pick up a unanimous decision win over Keith Jardine. Gracie was all over Jardine for two rounds, but wasn't able to get the finish. Jardine was bleeding like crazy due to a Gracie elbow and the blood might have actually helped him survive. The third round was contested on the feet, but Jardine was unable to get anything going.

Gracie got a takedown about a minute into the fight. As expected, Gracie didn't throw a strike on the ground, he just looked to advance position. Jardine defended well though. Jardine got up briefly but got put back down against the cage. Gracie trapped an arm and threw a few punches. Gracie advanced to mount. Gracie landed a few elbows and briefly looked for an armbar, but the round ended.

Gracie landed a front kick to start the second. Jardine waded in for a strike but got taken down for his trouble. Gracie opened up the cut again, and transitioned to Jardine's back. Roger locked up a body triangle and looked for the choke. After being unsuccessful for over two minutes, Gracie transitioned to mount and looked for an arm triangle. Jardine persevered though.

Jardine landed a body shot early, and avoided a takedown attempt. The first two minutes were a whole lot of nothing. Jardine landed a right hook that staggered Gracie. Gracie immediately looked for a takedown but got nothing. After another extended period of inactivity, the fight ended. The third round was pretty terrible.
