Rafael dos Anjos showed no fear of Anthony Njokuani's vaunted standup game, catching Njokauni early with a solid punch and continuing on all the way to a solid unanimous decision victory. Njokuani had his moments standing, but a suspected broken hand combined with a relentless takedown attack from RDA sealed his fate. He defended as many takedowns as possible, but ended up on his back a few times either way. It was an impressive performance from Dos Anjos, who has rounded out his game very well and is still one of the more underrated fighters in the lightweight division.

Njokuani landed a nice right early, but Dos Anjos responded with his own right that staggered Njokuani back against the fence. RDA wasted no time in getting the fight to the floor, but Njokuani got right back up twice in a row. Dos Anjos landed some heavy leg kicks through the round. Njokuani landed a few short rights, but RDA shot in again. Njokuani defended against the cage and escaped.

It was all Njokuani to start the second, but nothing effective landed. RDA did land a few leg kicks. Dos Anjos ducked a punch and got Anthony's back. He couldn't drag Njokuani all the way down though. Finally he scooped him up and dumped him down on his back in the middle of the cage. RDA looked to pass by Njokuani used the opportunity to pop back to his feet. Njokuani fought valiantly to avoid another takedown against the cage, but got dumped on the floor again. RDA looked for a guillotine but gave it up late.

Njokuani went back to his kicks early in the last round, and had some success. Njokuani went for a knee but got tied up against the fence by RDA. Dos Anjos went for another scoop slam but Njokuani landed on his feet. Not the next time though, and RDA worked from half guard. Dos Anjos spent a while on the ground landing punch. Njokuani got up to end the fight, but he looked defeated. And he was.
