One-time UFC Lightweight title challenger Joe Stevenson lost his first fight since being cut by the UFC. Stevenson lost to The Ultimate Fighter: Live contestant Dakota Cochrane at Resurrection Fighting Alliance 3 in Kearney, Nebraska by rear naked choke at 1:04 of the second round.
This is Stevenson's fifth straight loss. His overall record falls to 31-15 (8-8 UFC). The 30-year-old Stevenson officially began fighting professionally in 1999 when he was 17 although he actually started fighting even younger.
Cochrane improves his record to 12-3. He drew a fair amount of notoriety before he lost his TUF tryout fight because he had performed in gay porno videos before becoming an MMA fighter.
NCAA division 1 2011 national 157lb wrestling champion Bubba Jenkins won on the same card by a first round submission over one Jesus Adame.
