Fights to make after UFC on FX 3

UFC on FX 3 was another under appreciated UFC card that turned out to be great. Here are some of the match-ups I would like to see the winners take part in next, including the already set; Johnson vs. Benavidez for the UFC Flyweight title.

Flyweight bout: Demetrious Johnson vs. Joseph Benavidez

This fight has already been set by the UFC and what a fight it will be. Both of these guys have what it takes to be the champ.

Welterweight bout: Erick Silva vs. Diego Sanchez

Erick Silva continued his assault on the Welterweight division beating Charlie Brenneman rather handily. I like this fight with Diego for two reasons, one: It's a huge test for Silva. Diego is a huge name in MMA and that alone is something he needs to experience. Two: Diego will fight him. Brenneman gave a good fight until he was caught in a bad position, then he let Silva put in the hooks and choke him out. Diego will go, go, go and go some more. He's not going to be put down easily. A real test for the up and coming Erick Silva.

Welterweight bout: Mike Pyle vs. John Maguire

Gypsy Jiu-Jitsu vs. Old school Mike Pyle. John Maguire has been on an impressive run it's time to test him against the big dogs. No better test than Mike Pyle.

Bantamweight bout: Eddie Wineland vs. Michael McDonald

Probably my favorite match-up out of all of these. Two of the heaviest, fastest hitters at 135. What's not to like about this one?

Welterweight bout: Mike Pierce vs. Jake Ellenberger

Ellenberger was on the cusp of fighting for the belt before the lapse against Kampmann, Mike Pierce is looking like a beast in the octagon against top guys in the division. These two guys are on a collision course. Makes sense to fight right now. One guy continues to be a contender, the other starts over.
