UFC Welterweight Jon Fitch is injured and won't be able to welcome ex-Middleweight Aaron Simpson to the division at UFC on Fuel TV 4 on July 11 in San Jose, California. Fitch hurt his knee training at the American Kickboxing Academy according to Dave Meltzer. No word yet on who Simpson will face.

Fitch last fought at UFC 141 in December when he was the victim of a 12 second KO loss to Johny Hendricks. Coming on the heels of Fitch's tie against B.J. Penn at UFC 127 in February, 2011, Fitch hasn't had a win in the Octagon since 2010 when he beat Thiago Alves at UFC 117. The long-time #2 in the division, Fitch has dropped to #6 in the MMA Nation Consensus Rankings.

The 36-year-old Simpson is coming off a split decision loss to Ronny Markes at UFC on Fuel TV 1 in February. Prior to that he had racked up a three fight win streak.
