Did testosterone really changed the game for Sonnen?

That s the question that keeps me awake at night. In the last fight Cheal was tested positive for taking PED.

Would he have lost the belt if he had won? and secondly how much did taking PED influenced the fight?

I m not an athlete let alone a fighter... I never had the need to take any PED, the only PED I take has to be a good amount of coffee from time to time, and believe me it makes a huge difference! So I d really like to have a little insight about PED. Do you think that Cheal last AS fight would have been different if he didn't juice up? It seems that most reporters, fans, UFC promoters completely jumps this detail... it doesn't make sense to me. So is PED something or is it more or less like an energy drink?
