The trailer for Here Comes the Boom was released recently. The movie sees Kevin James (a longtime fan of the UFC) as a teacher attempting to resolve a school budget crisis by going into the sport of mixed martial arts (and, subsequently the UFC).

This is actually the first film the current UFC administration has given rights to use the promotion name to. As explained by Dana White:

"I like Kevin and he called me up and he's passionate about the sport, he wanted to do this movie. We haven't given the rights to anybody (before)," explained UFC president Dana White. "(In the movie) it's UFC, we gave him the rights to it."

Many UFC fighters and personalities will be in the movie, but there will be no Dana White in the film:

"They asked me; I'm no actor. No way in hell I would do that," White said with a laugh.
