With UFC 148 Silva vs Sonnen II less than 2 weeks away, I am left wondering where the hype is?
Dana bills this fights as one of the biggest sporting events of the year, yet despite this, I am not being overwhelmed by media hype.
This is despite Sonnen having a back catalogue of some of the most quotable quotes, and possibly being the best hype man in the UFC. Whenever he is given the chance he is constantly plugging and hyping the fight.
We have also seen for the first time Anderson talking smack, (with large parts of it in English).
Yet there has been no announced Primetime (which I would presume means there won't be one) and after the poor headline of FX4 and the planned catastrophic PPV numbers of 147, I would have thought there would have been absolute hype overdrive to get 148 the publicity it needs, as Dana says it will rival UFC 100 for PPV buys.
Most people know how good and what is at stake in this fight, but for the people who don't (and to get people who do even more excited) there needs to be more, every other story on every mma site should be about this fight (or something on the card).
Dana, UFC, give the MMA media and the fans what they want, get hyping the hell out of this card so people can get appropriately excited/informed!
