"U can criticize a fighter on whether he is entertaining or not but a fighter also needs to fight to win... Fans won't be there to provide the money to them or their family if they lose or get cut. Obviously it is best to entertain but u can only use the weapons u have. Fighting to win vs fighting to entertain is always gonna be a problem." -Kenny Florian, I wouldn't call what Guida did as "fighting to win" either.

"Thats why current/future fighters & coaches should work towards having a skill set that is not only "well rounded" but dangerous everywhere. Can't tell someone to pull the trigger if they don't have a gun. They need to work with what they have to give them the win... Fighters are starting MMA late, coming from specific backgrounds where they may be forced to focus on certain strengths to win fights." -Kenny Florian

"Coach's job is to make sure their fighters win & that they are safe. They must use a fighter's current skill set to do that... Re: Jackson/Winkeljohn, they are producing top talent. Some fighters will have exciting styles, some will not. Jones, Swanson etc... A given strategy or style of fighting is all based on what weapons/assets they have to work with... " -Kenny Florian
