The UFC has once again "stepped up their game" as far as stomping on evil internet people. As you all know, the GIFs you see on this site and thousands of other MMA-related blogs are supplied by a man who calls himself Zombie Prophet. All of his GIFs can be found on Iron Forges Iron ... except the ones from last night. Why? Because Dana White sicked his dogs to go after ZP for copyright infringement. This is the e-mail word for word(which he posted on Pastebin):

Hence, any UFC 147 gif posted last night (including Rich Franklin having sex on the mat) is gonzo. Zombie Prophet is also blocked by Dana White and the UFC's official twitter accounts.

With sagging PPV sales, bad main events, numerous injuries, fighters getting popped for steroids, declining TV ratings for TUF, and a public feud with hackers from Anonymous, the UFC is doing the logical thing here and cracking down on roughly 6 seconds per GIF.

For those who don't know, ZP is suffering from colon cancer (stage 0 so luckily he should be fine) and other health problems. His rapid fire GIF abilities are a staple of the online MMA community and now that he has a warning shot from the UFC, all of this could be in jeopardy.

I know legalities and law about as well as Skip Bayless knows sports. In other words, I don't know much. But this sounds like we could be seeing the end of UFC gifs thus it would take away things like the BE Judo Chop and all of the fight analysis you know and love. All in the name of a big corporation trying to "protect their brand" by cracking down on the little guy under the guise of copyright laws.
