UFC On FX Maynard Vs. Guida Results: Ramsey Nijem def. C.J. Keith via TKO at 2:29 of Round 1.
Nijem came out swiming but had not sooner clinched up with Keith than he ate a mean knee to the groin. Nijem worked for a single leg but Keith was tough and got top position. They quickly tussled back to their feet but Keith landed several hard shots. Nijem finally got Keith on his back but Keith worked for a switch but Nijem suddenly got mount and landed some elbows and punches. Nijem kept up the ground and pound until the referee stopped the fight.
Here is what Fraser Coffeen said in his primer on the fight:
Ramsey Nijem (5-2; 1-1 UFC) was a finalist on season 13 of The Ultimate Fighter, losing to Tony Ferguson. He's since bounced back with a win over Danny Downes. Nijem has been sidelined a bit due to injury, and with only 7 fights to his name and 2 in the UFC, he has not yet made much of a mark on the organization. C.J. Keith (8-0) makes his UFC debut here. A pro since 2007, Keith has been fighting entirely in the California regional scene, where he is undefeated. So far, he has faced no opponents of note.
