Russian Heavyweight legend Fedor Emelianenko beat up long-time UFC contender Pedro Rizzo today at the Ice Palace in St. Petersburg, Russia. It only took 1:24 for "The Last Emperor" to finish his prey. Here's how our own Brent Brookhouse described the action live:

Pedro Rizzo vs. Fedor Emelianenko - Round 1 - Fedor moving forward, Rizzo bouncing and throws two punches that come pretty slow. Fedor with a low kick and a big right and Rizzo drops. Fedor follows up with huge punches and Rizzo is out cold. Wow. Great showing in a fight that didn't really matter. Fedor Emelianenko wins by KO (punches), round 1.

Now the question will be whether or not Fedor fights again or if he chooses to retire. I might be the last holdout on Earth, but I'm an optimist and I still want to see Fedor in the UFC. It makes business sense for both parties, come on Dana and Vadim, make it happen!
