Yesterday, Alistair Overeem said he was going to fight in December but that was shot down by Lorenzo Fertitta. Today, he apparently took a blood test for the Nevada State Athletic Commission, even though he is unlicensed and it isn't required of him. He tweeted about it, and sent a message to UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos as well:
I'm doing a drug test today to build confidence with the Nevada state athletic commission and because I respect and appreciate the UFC.

And to let junior know I am a clean fighter, I'm all natural Junior.. and I am coming for you

Most people will scoff at the idea of Overeem doing tests when it's convenient for him, but let's say he does one every month until his suspension is lifted or until he fights again. Would that pacify the commission, fans, and media? I'm not sure, but it's a novel approach to re-establishing your good name at least.
