Some of you may remember when I first started BJJ about 11 months ago and posted alot, asking typical noob questions and getting some amazing advice from the Grapplers who frequent BE. 9 months ago I posted a video of my first ever BJJ match, a 4:12 second fight that consisted of my defending, stalling and eventually tapping out (http://www.bloodyelbow.com/2011/10/15/2492639/today-was-my-first-bjj-tourny-i-lost-lets-breakdown-why ).
Well today was my second tournament (I'm in blue). I was determined to get out of the first round, and hopefully on the podium....but really, I just wanted that first win. The following is what took place. (Note: I did say "let's mutherfukers" to the guy, but he had no idea what I was talking about.)

Really happy I won, but GOD DAMN my legs got tired. I literally had 4 minutes to recover, legs burning, but was hopeful because hey! I'm in the semi finals!

Well fuck. That was quick. Advice?
All in all I am happy with my result. I clearly need work on feeling when a sweep is coming and my posture, but I watch that first video from 9 months ago and its crazy how much improvement I can see. BJJ is the shit. Everyone should start doing it right now.
