Former UFC Light Heavyweight champ Tito Ortiz will be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame prior to his UFC 148 bout with Forrest Griffin on July 7 in Las Vegas, Nevada according to a report by MMA Weekly. Damon Martin spoke to UFC president Dana White after today's UFC 150 press conference. Here's what Dana had to say about Tito and the HoF:

White spoke to MMAWeekly.com about Ortiz's contributions to the sport, and how he was really the face of the UFC in the darkest days when finding fans to watch was still a tough proposition.

"He pound for pound was doing some of the most damage at a time when we were hurting," said White. "But it's part of our history the way the storylines played out between me, Chuck and Tito. He's definitely a part of the history of the sport."

Other inductees into the UFC Hall of Fame include: Royce Gracie, Ken Shamrock, Dan Severn, Mark Coleman, Chuck Liddell, Randy Couture, Matt Hughes and the late TapouT founder Charles "Mask" Lewis.

One notable exclusion is former UFC Middleweight champ Frank Shamrock.
