It looks like flyweights definitely aren't a draw yet. The ratings are in for last Friday's UFC on FX 3 event, and the event didn't come close to doing as well as the other two FX events so far: According to TVByTheNumbers.com, the event that was headlined by Demetrious Johnson vs. Ian McCall averaged 1.086 million viewers. To compare, here's how the other two FX cards fared:
UFC on FX 2 - 1.4 million viewers
UFC on FX 1 - 1.3 million viewers
The prelims did pretty terribly as well, drawing an average of just 84,000 viewers on Fuel. Here's how the other two FX preliminary cards did on Fuel:
UFC on FX 1 - 148,000 viewers
UFC on FX 2 - 113,000 viewers
Obviously the card was severely lacking in star power, which hurt the ratings. The most well-known guy on the card was probably Charlie Brenneman, which should tell you something. We'll have to see how UFC on FX 4 does on June 22nd with Gray Maynard vs. Clay Guida as the top bout.
