In the fourth bout of The Ultimate Fighter Live Finale, Myles Jury submitted Chris Saunders with a guillotine choke in the first round. Saunders spent a couple of minutes trying to find his range while Jury worked well from the outside. Jury was able to start landing his jab with more regularity and get a few other solid strikes in there.
Saunders came back with his own offense briefly, but Jury jumped in with a flying knee. Jury was taken to the ground by Saunders, but quickly locked up a guillotine against the cage. Saunders held on for a while, but Jury adjusted and got the finish at the 4:03 mark of the first round.
The final bout of the preliminary card saw Daron Cruickshank face off with Chris Tickle. Cruickshank picked up a unanimous decision victory (29-27, 29-27, 29-27).
Cruickshank went for a takedown right away and got stuck in a deep guillotine, but was eventually able to pop out. After some action, Tickle landed an upkick with Deron's knee on the mat and was deducted a point by referee Steve Mazzagatti. Cruickshank controlled the rest of the first round on the ground.
In the second, Tickle looked for another choke but lost it again and ended up underneath Cruickshank. Tickle taunted Cruickshank after a kick once they were back on the feet, then landed a right hook of his own that dropped Cruickshank. The rest of the round saw Tickle on top.
Tickle started the third in control as well, but Cruickshank reversed and worked from top position. After Tickle popped up, Daron tripped him back down straight into mount. Tickle got out and ended up on top again, but was stuck in a guillotine. He eventually got side control, but Cruickshank hit a beautiful reverse at the final horn.
