Horrible news today comes from the UFC telling that Dominick Cruz's ACL has been injured and he'll need to pull out of his fight with Urijah Faber at UFC 148. This was part of a very stacked card that was going to be the most anticipated card of the summer for fight fans. What can we do to make the best of this situation? We can rally. We all remember the power of the rally for Mark Hunt. Let's get another one together.
Faber expressed interest tonight on Inside MMA in still fighting July 7th. He also suggested an interim championship fight. I propose we work to bump up a top tier bantamweight for this opportunity.
My suggestions are limited, but the two fighters that I would like to see take such a spot are pretty deserving of a big opportunity. We should all get behind one fighter and see what we can do. I propose we take to the internet and get an interim title fight between Urijah Faber and either Renan Barao or Michael McDonald. What say you, bloody elbow?
