Hey guys,
2 neat bits of news I thought I'd share with you as you're all so supportive of my journalistic career!
The first is a small piece of feedback I got from my friend and supporter Coach Jason Mertlich of The Pit Elevated fight team, who tells me that one of his fighters, Jan Jorgensen, found enormous success by training the hand trapping and southpaw concepts described in the Southpaw Guide on my blog, KOing his southpaw opponent at Showdown Fights: Uprising the other night. It's always amazing to hear that my writing on striking concepts has helped coaches and their fighters, and I'm extremely happy for Jason and Jan!
The second piece of news is that my Advanced Boxing - the first part of the kindle production of Advanced Striking - went live today and can now be picked up from Amazon specifically formatted for the kindle! I have set each technique up as a flick book, and it is the first book to my knowledge to be formatted like this on the kindle. I think it works well but due to my lack of objectivity on my own writing, I'd love further opinions! You can check out the book (and hopefully add a review!) here.
Edit: Here is the video that Coach Mertlich linked me of his big lad, Jan, working outside hand and foot position against the mitts and the team picking up some wins. No vid of the fight yet but would love it if someone finds it!
