Ricardo Almeida was the judge that scored the fight for Koscheck.

We've all been very hyped up about the fact an ex-top level MMA fighter is now a judge for the NJAC, and how it would be the beginning of better judging in MMA, but alas. He scored the fight and the third round for Koscheck.

Now what does this mean? Does it mean he doesn't understand the game? Doubtful. I think it means judging is much much much harder than we all think. Don't forget, judges might just have the worst seat in the house, no monitors, no visual aids whatsoever, and if i fight is taking place on the other side of the Octagon (It's very big) you'll have a very hard time judging what's happening. Look to the Mayweather fight we're the crowd went ballistic every time Cotto was working on the inside, when in reality Floyd was outlanding him pretty easily. In my opinion judges should be watching the fights on a TV screen in a backroom.
