Join Bloody Elbow for live coverage of The Ultimate Fighter Live episode 9 featuring as coaches Bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz and his UFC 148 challenger Urijah Faber. Tonight's live Lightweight fight pits Cruz' fourth pick Mike Rio against Faber's seventh pick Andy Ogle. The Ultimate Fighter airs live on FX Friday night at 10 p.m. ET / 7 p.m. PT.
Both fighters have 8-1 records as professionals but Ogle at age 22 is eight years younger than the 30 year old Rio. In the elimination round to make the season's cast, Ogle defeated Brendan Weafer by unanimous decision and Rio defeated Ali Maclean by rear naked choke submission.
Rio has been struggling with some knee pain during the season and Ogle has struggled with the rigors of living in the TUF house and the distance from home. We'll see you at 10 p.m. ET for the live discussion of the show.

I said I wouldn't do this but the coaches challenge was kind of fun. Cruz got out toe an early lead excelling at the rope climb and easily outpacing Faber at pistol shooting. But Faber caught up with Cruz on the auto-matic rifle target shooting. Somehow it's much harder to hit a jug with a machine gun than it looks. Faber looked to build his lead with a smooth performance on the grenade launcher and managed to barely defeat Cruz. The automatic rifle cost Cruz the competition. Mike Rio vs. Andy Ogle
Round 1: Rio is crowding Ogle but Ogle is forcing him to back off with some sharp jabs. Ogle moving laterally well and continuing to pop Rio. Rio continuing to control the cage but Ogle is landing all the strikes. Rio is chasing him rather than cutting off the cage. Rio gets the take down with 2:30 left in the round. Ogle is trying to stand up and grabbing the fence to do it. Ogle stands and they lock up in the clinch. Ogle peppering with punches and knees in close. Ogle breaks free. Lands a nice combo. 90 seconds left. Ogle landing and moving away. HIt and run is working. Rio is chasing him around the cage. Bloody Elbow scores it 10-9 Ogle.
Round 2: Rio comes out aggressive but Ogle is landing again. More combinations now. Rio looks frustrated. Ogle lands a superman punch. Mixing xome kicks in. Rio shoots in and gets a single. Ogle crawls to the cage. Rio working to keep him down. Ogle is trying to stand but Rio gets on his back and drags him down. Ogle reverses and is in Rio's guard. Ogle landing lefts. Two minutes left. Ogle is on Rio's back, landing punches. Flattens Rio out. Gets the tap out. Andy Ogle defeats Mike Rio by submission (rear naked choke).
