A little earlier tonight, Bloody Elbow passed along the news that Brock Lesnar could possibly be returning to the UFC. He was in attendance for tonight's UFC 146 main event bout between Junior dos Santos and Frank Mir and was shown on camera. UFC president Dana White elaborated on his conversations with the former UFC heavyweight champion and current WWE superstar at the UFC 146 post-fight press conference and in the media scrum following it, and MMA Fighting put together a video detailing White's thoughts on it. Check it out below, and you can catch some choice quotes after the jump.
He texted me and said I want to come to the fight, keep it quiet, don't tell anybody. I said okay.
When asked about when the conversation took place, Dana said it was a week or a week-and-a-half ago.
Exactly what he texted me - 'What are you doing tonight?' 'I'm doing a press conference.' 'I want to talk face-to-face.' I said okay. I'll talk to him later tonight.
You never know with him. He might want to come back, he might just want to hang out.
I still think Brock Lesnar is one of the top guys in the heavyweight division. Is he in the top five? I don't know.
When asked if he'd allow Brock to come back:
I don't know. I don't know. We'd have to talk and see what's going on. He went back to the WWE. It's no secret. I think people get it, there's nothing fake going on over here. It's real. I don't know, we'll see.
