The Ultimate Fighter has produced a wide array of talent over the years, but one of the guys in this bout is undeniably one of the most entertaining. The other guy is a well-rounded fighter who has been stellar at featherweight thus far and he'll look to destroy the hype. Diego Brandao (14-7, 1-0 UFC) meets Darren Elkins (13-2, 3-1 UFC).

Neither fighter is currently ranked at featherweight in the USA Today/BE Consensus Rankings, which isn't exactly surprising. Both fighters have the ability to grace the list one day, but they'll have to string together a win or three to earn any consideration. This featherweight UFC 146 bout is the seventh bout of the preliminary card and will serve as the feature bout of the FX portion of the card. The FX broadcast begins at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.

How do these two stack up?

Brandao: 24 years old | 5'7" | 69" reach
Elkins: 28 years old | 5'10" | Unknown reach

What have these two done recently?

Brandao: W - Dennis Bermudez (SUB) | W - Nick Buschman (KO) | W - Richard Villa (SUB)
Elkins: W - Zhang Tiequan (UD) | W - Michihiro Omigawa (UD) | L - Charles Oliveira (SUB)

How did these two get here?

Diego Brandao rose to prominence when he tore through the TUF 14 field to become the lightweight winner. His TUF Finale bout with Dennis Bermudez was one of the most exciting contract bouts ever, and he managed to overcome adversity to win. This is his first bout since that epic fight.

Darren Elkins started out at 155 and went 1-1, but decided to drop to featherweight after a 41-second submission loss to Charles Oliveira. He has won both of his bouts at 145 thus far, taking unanimous decisions over Tiequan Zhang and Michihiro Omigawa. He's a huge underdog in this bout and a win would be massive for his career.

Why should you care?

Can the TUF winner maintain his momentum by overcoming another solid wrestler? Brandao has proven to be very exciting, and his bout with Elkins shouldn't be any different.
