Hey BE people, I’m going to be pretty simple. I’m going to Greece for two weeks during the summer for my theatre history class, and my final paper for the course deals with the development of theatre and wrestling/pankration concurrently in Ancient Persia.
During this time I’m staying mostly in Athens, Greece. I know their economy is not doing good at all and there’s plenty of things going...off over there so I thought I’d go there and try to train at a MMA gym over there. Only one problem: I don’t know Greek and I can’t seem to find any gyms in Athens. Now I know there has to be because that’s the birthplace of Pankration (Ancient MMA) and I’ve seen gyms there before so I know there at least has been gyms.
It’s always been an interest of mine to train with people who may or may not be able to speak you natural language and it kind of adds to a neat element to martial arts, in that people across the world may not be able to communicate verbally but they can communicate and learn various martial arts without verbally communicating.
So, can anyone hook me up with a MMA gym in Athens, Greece?
