Seau apparently shot himself in the chest. I wonder if he left his head intact for a CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy) study? He was a beast but probably suffered a lot of head trauma over the course of his career.

I really hope my kids decide to not participate in sports where head trauma is the norm. I'm lucky I didn't suffer too many concussions when I played football but I've got other injuries.

I hope one day they're able to really grab a hold of some safety measures without drastically changing football and other sports that are prone to causing CTE.
