In an unfortunate update, Adam Martin of The Score and The MMA Show learned that injuries have forced the further reshuffling of the upcoming UFC 146 card.

Wow! Gonzaga out, Dave "Pee Wee" Herman in against Roy Nelson. Evan Dunham out, Jamie Varner in against Edson Barboza. BIG CHANGES! @UFC 146

We last saw Dave Herman (21-3) in action in February of this year at UFC On Fuel TV 1, where he lost an entertaining bout to Stefan Struve by knockout in the second round. The bout against Nelson should feature an unusual amount of goofy/serious lead-up talk and some bristling hairiness from both sides.

Jamie Varner (19-6-1, 2 NC) is most famous for being the man to defeat Rob McCullough and take the WEC lightweight title in 2008 and losing it to Benson Henderson in 2010. Many people may not know that Varner has actually fought in the UFC twice before, losing to Hermes Franca in 2006 and winning against Jason Gilliam in 2007. Edson Barboza would be the first fighter Varner has fought with a strong Muay Thai-based attack since the famous and thrilling bouts with Donald Cerrone in the WEC.
