Strikeforce: Barnett Vs Cormier - Josh Barnett Gets A Crash Course In Stunt Fighting

Stay connected for news and updates

As part of Showtime's promotional efforts for this weekend's Strikeforce: Josh Barnett vs Daniel Cormier event, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett gets a crash course in stunt fighting for the movies, with martial arts master / actor Ernie Reyes (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1&2, Rush Hour 2, Avatar).

Barnett soon finds out that making the 'unreal seem real' is more difficult than it first appears, despite his history as a pro wrestler. Once Barnett works out the choreography and its relation to the cameras, we're greeted to the finished sequence; an amusing combination that wouldn't be out of place in a Hollywood action movie.

We're unlikely to see any of these exaggerated moves this Saturday at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, though if Barnett manages to pull off the caught-kick-into-a-rolling-kneebar, it may become a prime candidate for Submission Of The Year.
