In the Mayweather vs Cotto Hits 1.5 Million PPV Buy Mark thread, there was a list posted of boxings top 10 PPV events, as well as the UFC top 10 PPV events. Boxing by far has the better numbers, due to bigger names and the fact that they are more established throughout the world. The UFC buys were largely assisted by a Mr. Brock Lesnar, but those numbers were largely due to him being so popular in his previous career in the well known WWE. The other events were pushed by GSP or highly hyped grudge matches. It would be great to see the UFC really contend with boxing as far as PPV numbers go, but who would the UFC use to try to climb that ladder into the 2 million viewer mark? Could it be just a few big names, or would the UFC need to muster everything that they have and create a super card in order to break the 2 million viewers mark? What names are ready to help capture more viewers?
