I am competing at the Grapplers Quest tourney at the UFC Fan Expo, are you?

I have a MRI scheduled tomorrow at 9am to find out if i have a herniated disk. I am going to compete in Grapplers Quest in Vegas on the 6th of July. I will be doing the no-gi tourny.

I have decided from this point to quit competing in the GI in any tourneys that use IBJJF rules. The amount of rules they are initating is rediculous, the reaping of the knee is IMO one of the dumbest rules ever, with the new set of revisions it seems that they want to have the most boring competitions possible. I like the Gracie Nationals rules but IBJJF IMO is killing the fun of the game and makes leg locks taboo for lower belts, yet these are legit submissions. You could break someones arm just as easy as a knee if you go for a quick sub and don't care about your submission

I hope the MRI comes out good, i am competeting either way as we are never 100%. To everyone that is going to compete comment below, maybe we could meet up before the tourney and have fun at the fan expo. To those considering it, do it. Grappler's Quest has great tourneys and are a great way to test your skills, no matter what level you are.
