It was expected that Canadian welterweight Sean Pierson would return in his home country at UFC 149, but that is not the case. Instead, he will face of with Jake Hecht at UFC on FX 3 on June 8th in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Pierson confirmed the news via twitter:
Sean Pierson Hey Guys. It's now Official. My next UFC event will be FX3 & I will take on Jake Hecht in Ft Lauderdale Florida June 8th!!!

Pierson (11-6) is currently on a two-fight losing streak, the most recent of which being a unanimous decision loss to Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 141. Hecht (11-6) is 1-1 in the UFC. He picked up a TKO win over Rich Attonito in his debut, but was quickly submitted by T.J. Waldburger at UFC on FX 2.
The bout is scheduled to take place on the preliminary card.
