Thiago Silva returns to the Octagon for the first time since a January 1, 2011 NC against Brandon Vera at UFC 125. Silva initially took a decision win over Vera but it was later ruled a no-contest when he was caught attempting to falsify a urine sample.
To refresh fans' memories about Silva and what he can do before he headlines UFC on Fuel TV 2 against Alexander Gustaffson in Sweden on April 14, the UFC and Yahoo! have released this video of Silva KO'ing Keith Jardine at UFC 102 in 2009. The two Light Heavyweights headline the card.
After beating Jardine, Silva lost a decision to Rashad Evans at UFC 108 and then sat out most of 2010 with a series of injuries. The 29-year-old Silva will be looking to turn things around and get back on the winning track against Gustaffson.
Silva had been set to rematch Brandon Vera at UFC on Fuel TV 3 in May but got the call up to replace Antonio Rogerio Nogueira against Gustaffson when Little Nog got injured.
