Multiple MMA news outlets are reporting that the UFC has scheduled a Lightweight title rematch between champion Ben Henderson and former champ Frankie Edgar for UFC 150, tentatively planned for August 11 in Denver, Colorado. Edgar lost the belt to Henderson at UFC 144 in Japan in February.
Verbal agreements are in place for the bout.
The card is also expected to feature Yushin Okami vs Luiz Cane according to Sherdog. Okami is coming off a KO loss to Tim Boetsch at UFC 144 in a bout he was dominating up until the final round. Cane will be making his MW debut after losing 3 of 4 at Light Heavyweight, most recently losing by KO to Stanislav Nedkov at UFC 134.
The UFC also confirmed that Lightweights Thiago Tavares and Dennis Hallman will also be featured on the card. Tavares brings a two-fight win streak into the bout with the scalps of Sam Stout and Spencer Fisher on his trophy case. Hallman is fresh off deconstructing Taekwondo ace John Makdessi at UFC 140.
